Woah! I can't believe it's time for Feature and Follow again! This is my second #FF and I'm so excited to see more blogs! I am a multi-hat-wearing blogger. I have a day job as an adjunct at a local college, I write Urban Fantasy (or currently am writing), I'm a mother, a book lover and a blog enthusiast. I read across genre lines, but have been focusing my efforts lately on YA Fantasy, Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance.
This week's question: Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?
andi's answer:
There are so many great authors that I would LOVE to sit down with, but, as the question only asks for 3, I suppose I'll trim the list. Weighing in at the top are Jeaniene Frost, Patricia Briggs and Chloe Neill. Oh these three women...I bow in abject awe of their writing styles, character development, wit....ah, hell. I could just keep going! I fear these poor dears wouldn't get any eating done if I were to gain an audience with them. I see us enjoying popcorn with M&Ms (yes, together. Hey don't judge, it's good...just don't put the M&Ms IN the popcorn or they'll melt!) or sitting around a campfire talking well into the night about their lives as writers, their stories and characters and their advice for writers. Uh...did I forget to mention the stack of books I'd take with me to have them sign? Poor dears. No dinner, lots of talking AND hand cramps. I hope they don't see this....they may run in the other direction! Thanks for stopping by! I'm just getting the blog up and running and will continue to add, so keep coming back!

Hi, Andi! Thanks so much for stopping by -- I'm following you back, for sure! :) Your blog is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any of those authors before, but I agree with you one-hundred percent about the M&Ms with popcorn! Except that I actually like putting the candy-coated chocolates into the warm popcorn because I'm a fan of melted chocolate ;)
Hope you have an awesome weekend!
Thank you , love your blog too - following you back. I would love a chance to talk to Chloe Neill that would be so awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog. Loving your blog. Great list you have there. Thanks for commenting on my Jake pics! Have a good weekend.

Returning the follow! I love JFrost. Her books have that excellent read-stiaght-through-them quality where you dont' want to put them down to do real-life things. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've heard of all the authors you mentioned but I have yet to read any of their books. Although some are on my list. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteOOOOh GREAT choices!! I heart Patricia Briggs I felt like giving her an honorary mention, but we could only have three :( Mercy Thompson is one of my all time favourite series. I also love Chloe Neill! We have scary tastes in authors I think I am going to like it here.
ReplyDeleteI am therefore an enthusiastic new follower. Also great to meet a fellow writer!

Ooh love those authors! I met Jeaniene once at RT but didn't get a sit down chat with her, so that would be still cool to have! I even got meet Chloe Neill once, only because she was at a bookstore close to my aunt in Wisconsin and I was able to convince my mom for a weekend road trip!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to meet them someday!
Thanks for visiting/following my blog!
I follow you now too!
